Meet Janette Gomez
A dedicated educator for 20 years
For two decades, I have proudly served as a CTE teacher within the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD). This experience has given me a deep understanding of our education system and the needs of our students. My commitment extends beyond the classroom as a member of the Sweetwater Education Association, California Teachers Association, and National Education Association. I am a parent of students in the CVESD District and also know the experiences the parents of elementary age students. We are in this together!

My passion lies in connecting with students, educators, and parents. We are all united in our shared goal: the success of our children. My campaign is built on this foundation of collective effort.
Hopes for Chula Vista schools
My greatest hope for the schools in Chula Vista is that we foster a strong, collaborative community. By working hand-in-hand, we can ensure that all children have the support and resources they need to thrive. My plan is to strengthen partnerships between schools, families, and the community to create a brighter future for every student.
